March 1, 2020

Hey Everyone!  I’ve been having so much fun playing with the Procreate App on my IPad. Since today is the first day of March, I thought I could try to hand letter the month.  The word ‘March’ looked a little lonely and I wanted to add something to it.  I do not draw, but I wanted to try something new.  I found that the birth month flower for March is the daffodil. March isn’t my birth month, but I thought a daffodil would go great with my lettering. Happy Birthday to all of the March birthdays out there! I hope you enjoy! I normally post my daily lettering to my IG page. You can check it out @elephantshoecorner...

I was super excited when I received the Spellbinders Card Kit of the Month, Sparkling Holidays. It feels early for Christmas Cards, but we are already half way through October. If I dont get started soon, I will not have my cards ready to send to family and friends. So....I need to start early. It was hard to get in the Christmas mood, so I watched one of my favorite Christmas movies, Trading Christmas. After that I didn't want to stop making Christmas cards. I hope you find some inspiration.

This is one card that I made for my YouTube card making tutorial with 5 cards from 1 kit using the September 2019 card kit of the month from Spellbinders. I normally keep my posts straight and to the point and leave my personal stuff out of them, but today I decided to put a little of my truth in my post.

I am having a difficult day today. Three years ago today, my oldest son had his first seizure at the age of 8. It turned our lives upside down. It was and continues to be an extremely difficult day for our family. About six months later he passed away. His passing was out of the blue and unrelated to seizures. According...

I love to make Halloween cards during the fall. I wanted to do some ink blending with fall colors for this Halloween card. The stamp set that I used is Hey Boo! from Fun Stampers Journey/Spellbinders. This stamp set has so many cute stamps, I made several cards using the bats, spiders, and Happy Halloween sentiment. I will be writing a blog post about those in a few days :)

You can watch my card making tutorial of this card by clicking the YouTube video below. I have also provided the links to the products below.

We had perfect fall weather this weekend for some Halloween card making. I think this kitty is just too cute and it's super simple to make. I just recently got this stamp set. It has so many cute Halloween images. This is Fun Stampers Journey Hey Boo Stamp Set.

The card base is a 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 piece of Fun Stampers Journey Citrus Cooler Cardstock.

I used my Fancy Label Dies (2 of the different sizes) to cut a piece of Citrus Cooler and Black Licorice cardstock. This created a frame around the kitty.

I stamped the cat, Boo Sentiment, and spiderweb on a whip cream cardstock panel using Black Licorice Ink. This panel would be...
