I had a layoff week from work and today is my last day off before I start back.  The week was good. I had so much that I planned to do on my week off, but I didn’t get to any of it. The one thing that I did do was spend a lot of quality time with my kids. We snuggled and watched movies and played games...it was great and much needed for all of us...and pretty much all that was accomplished all week and that is ok. It is so hard to balance work, kids, homeschooling, housework, and personal time. By the time I get to personal time, I feel guilty that I am not spending time with my kids. It is a constant struggle. Today, I...

It’s been a rough couple of months for everyone. A lot of uncertainty and a lot of changes. These are definitely crazy times. I am currently working from home and homeschooling one of my children. We are quite busy, but very thankful to have a job. I don’t always make time to blog, but lately I have really been trying to make time to pick up my iPad for some digital art. I have been working on my hand lettering and my doodling. I made this using the Procreate app. I started with some doodles of flowers and then I had an open space in the middle, so I thought I would be able to fit the word ‘May’ nicely. If you are read...

In these crazy times I needed an escape, this normally means doing something creative. I had my kiddos color some shamrocks. Trying to keep them busy doing fun and educational stuff while they are out of school. I decided to make another St. Patrick’s Day graphic using the Procreate App on my iPad. Hope you enjoy it. Have a safe and Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Do something fun and creative! You can also. Find me on IG @elephantshoecorner

I used the Simon Says Stamp December Card Kit for this simple card. The card kit came with several different stickers. I added some additional adhesive to the back of the Santa and reindeer sticker to make sure it wouldn’t come off. The stickers are from the Carta Bella “Santa’s Workshop” stickers sheet. I mounted it on a sheet of the Carta Bella “Santa’s Workshop” Designer Paper. All I really had to do was stamp the sentiment from Simon Says Stamp Christmas Cheer Stamp Set with SSS Intense Black Ink. I mounted that on my A2 white card base (5 1/2 x 8 1/2 Scored at 4 1/4). There are lots of different options with these a...

I just received my Simon Says Stamp December 2018 Card Kit. I hand colored Santa and the Sign from Simon Says Stamp - Christmas Cheer stamp set with Copic Markers. The background is designer paper from Carta Bella “Santa’s Workshop.” The layers are adhered to the card base which is a pre-scored Audrey Blue A2 notecard.

The Copic Colors I used for Santa were:

For the Sign:

E13, E15, R08, N2

CC Designs November Challenge was to use purple on a project. I used a stamp from CC Designs Stamp Set called It's a Roberto's Christmas. I colored the stamp in with Copic Markers. For the girl's dress, cardigan, and shoes I used different shades of purple. This is such a cute and festive stamp set.
