Medallions with a Twist

I am so excited for the new Stampin' Up catalog to go live on June 1st, but they do have two Eastern Palace Bundles that are available through May 31st for those of us who absolutely cannot wait. Luckily, since I just became a demonstrator, I was able to get the Lemon Lime Twist cardstock slightly early too.

I love the colors of the card pictured. This is the first card that I made using items from the new Stampin' Up catalog. The Lemon Lime Twist cardstock is a new In-color for 2017-2019 and the Eastern Medallions Thinlits are also a new item in this year's catalog.

Items Used:

Basic Black Cardstock 121045

card base cut to 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 (Fold in half for a standard A2 card measuring 4 1/4 x 5 1/2)

top layer cut to 3 7/8 x 5 1/8

Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock 144245

layer cut to 4 x 5 1/4

Eastern Medallions Thinlits 143725

Rhinestone Basic Jewels 144220

1.) Cut the cardstock to size. You will have a black card base and two layers, one black and one lemon lime twist.

2.) Take the black layer (3 7/8 x 5 1/8) and position your thinlits from the Eastern Medallions on top. Run it through the Big Shot. See picture below for the thinlits used.

3.) As you can see in the picture of the card, the outside petals can pop up for a 3D look.

4.) I used the "Thanks" stamp from the Jar of Love Stamp Set with Whisper White Ink.

5.) Then, adhere the Lemon Lime Twist layer to the card base using Fast Fuse.

6.) I used dimensionals to adhere the top black layer to the Lemon Lime Twist.

7.) For a final touch, I placed rhinestones around the edge of the medallion.

I hope you love it!
