l jumped at the opportunity to use my Stampin' Blends to make a wedding card. Remember: Stampin' Blends will be available to customers starting November 1st!
1.) Cut all cardstock:
Whisper White - 4 x 5 1/4
Whisper White - 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 score at 4 1/4
2.) Stamp the rose from the Rose Wonder stamp set onto the 4 x 5 1/4 layer. (Hint: Use Memento Black ink to avoid the black ink from bleeding which will possibly ruin your cards and your Stampin' Blend Markers.)
3.) Cover your work area, because the Stampin' Blends will go through your paper.
4.) Start coloring the rose and leaves with the Stamp Blends. I color a couple of the rose petals at a time with the light cherry cobbler. Then I go around the edges with the dark cherry cobbler. Color over the entire petal again with the light cherry cobbler, blending the color together. Once all petals are colored, use the color lifter marker to lighten only parts of the petals.
5.) Heat Emboss a label. First - I took a piece of Whisper White Cardstock and rubbed the Embossing Buddy over it. This will help the embossing powder only stick to the ink and not the paper. Then, I stamped the sentiment using Versamark ink, making sure I would be able to punch it out with the Everyday Label Punch. Then, I covered the ink with my Silver Embossing Powder and made sure it was fully covered. I removed any excess powder. I took my heat tool and warmed the paper from underneath. This created the silver look of the sentiment. Lastly, punch the sentiment out using the Everyday Label Punch.
6.) Put a small piece of fast fuse on the card layer where you want to place the label. Wrap the Silver Metallic Thread round four fingers a few times, creating a circle. Then, wrap that into a figure 8. Put the center of the figure 8 into the fast fuse and make sure the ends are in the fast fuse also.
7.) Put Stampin' Dimensionals on the back of the label and put it directly over the thread to ensure it stays in place.
