Spruce Up the Birthday Card

1.) Cut the cardstock:

Shaded Spurce: 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 (score at 4 1/4)

Soft Sea Foam: 4 x 5 1/4

Garden Impressions Designer Series Paper: 4 x 5 1/4 - Then cut at an angle corner to corner. You can use both sides to create two cards with same sheet of cardstock.

2.) Measure out the ribbon to be a little longer than you need it so it can fold over the edge of the card and be adhered to the back for an extra hold.

3.) Once the ribbon is cut you can color it with whatever ink color you choose. I colored mine with Shaded Spruce. I held one edge of the ribbon and placed one edge of my ink pad upside down on top of it. I then pulled the ribbon through. I did this on both sides of the ribbon to get even coverage. Make sure you complete this process on a piece of scrap paper so you don't make a mess. Also, make sure you let the ribbon dry completely before attaching it to the card....ask me how I know :)

4.) Adhere the Garden Impressions DSP and the ribbon. The DSP needs to be directly on top of the Soft Sea Foam layer and make sure the edges match up exactly. I placed the ribbon so the top edge was just slightly covered by the DSP. I then folded the the very ends of the ribbon around the corners and adhered it to the Soft Sea Foam layer.

5.) Adhere the Soft Sea Foam layer to the Shaded Spruce card base.

6.) Stamp the sentiment on a piece of Soft Sea Foam cardstock using Melon Mambo ink. Then punch it out using the Everyday Label Punch. Pop it up on the card using Stampin' Dimensionals.
