Happy Birthday with some Glimmer

September 4, 2017

I thought these were cheerful colors to use on a birthday card. I bought this shimmer paper with the intent of using it for my Christmas cards, but once I saw these colors together, I really thought the shimmer paper made it pop!

1 .) Cut out all cardstock:
-Sweet Sugarplum - 5 1/2 x 8 1/2
- Powder Pink -  4 x 5 1/4
-Glimmer Paper - used 3 in. scallop framelit from the Layering Circles Framelits
-Whisper White - 2 1/2 inch circle

2.) Stamp flowers on the white circle. I used the flowers from the Orange Blossom stamp set with Sweet Sugarplum, Powder Pink, and Perfect Plum ink.

3.) Stamp the sentiment on the bottom portion of the card using Sweet Sugarplum. I used the Happy Birthday Gorgeous Stamp Set.

4.) Fast fuse the White circle onto the Glimmer paper.

5.) Fast fuse the Powder Pink cardstock layer to the Sweet Sugarplum card base.

6.) Put dimensionals on the back of the Glimmer paper and adhere it to the card.

7.) Put multipurpose liquid glue on the back of the wooden leaf shape from the Touches of Nature Elements and put it next to the stamped flowers.

8.) I also colored over the top of my stamped flowers with Clear Wink of Stella to give them a little extra sparkle.
